The camera itself is fine. It's been online for a few months now and I haven't had to reset it, reconnect to a Wi-Fi network, or perform any other such complexities. Build quality is acceptable and it just works. I had a similar Foscam IP camera for a few months and had to reset it and connect to a Wi-Fi network at least once a month! Zmodo just works. And you can't ask for more than I believe. Now the app is on the other side. The Zmodo iPhone app is a bit like a train wreck. The user interface is not very intuitive. I can't turn off audible alerts and motion alerts are intermittent at best. Zmodo support promised that this would be fixed in a future update, but a recent app update didn't fix any of my issues. In my case, I only use this camera as a backup to monitor the condition of my garage door. to make sure it's actually closed when the Chamberlain MyQ app says it's closed. Also keep an eye on the garage if I open the door to deliver a package in my absence. So for my purposes, the Zmodo app serves its main purpose. as an IP camera. While the inability to turn off sound alerts is annoying, it doesn't disrupt the show.
