This is my second viper, squirrel gnawed a hole in the first one, always keep in plastic bags and love it. This is a tube that is large and can be felt by the boat when towing. Make sure you get a rope for two or three people to do this. It's like riding a small boat, it's so stable you can swim in it for hours. The bottom is soft and can get springy, we learned if you don't fill it all the way how can this help. There is felt material on the handles to keep your joints from getting wet like other pipes. The back can be placed closer as this will force your life jacket to lift. Because the tube is so sturdy, it's great for getting kids who are really nervous to get started. It's also nice to see older family members having fun again. When pulled at the right speed, they don't have to hold onto it with their knuckles and it's nice to see Grandma smile. And if young people want to swim, then mom can perfectly lie down and sunbathe. The only complaint is that if you really want to go crazy, you really need to pick up speed and find great stretches. I haven't been able to figure out how to control this type of whistle and I'm not entirely sure I can. But if you tear it up, oh boy It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that I rose almost six feet above the water and even got thrown completely out of the pipe. As mentioned it feels heavy when the boat is being towed, you can feel it there as you drive which is nice to let you know if you still have your driver. The tube itself is very large, so it is very difficult to fully inflate it in the boat. I highly recommend this tube if you have a mixed age family and host a lot of family reunions at the lake. It is very durable with normal use year after year.
