I bought this shredder because I wanted to replace a 12 year old shredder that was starting to have problems and could never handle more than 4 sheets of paper without difficulty. This time I wanted the machine to be able to shred at least 10 sheets at a time or a credit card and run for over 10 minutes continuously before needing to cool down. Since I only need a document shredder for private household use, I was initially reluctant to buy this because of the price, especially since I could not simply try out any document shredders in a shop with current care recommendations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (I actually ordered another brand that was about $75 less, but it arrived broken and loose parts slipped inside, so I sent it back to Revain the next day and decided to order this one instead.) I only have this one Bonsai used. 12 sheet micro shredder few times since delivery 10 days ago but so far I am very satisfied. It chews 6 to 8 pages at a time with ease, although it's actually quieter than the older, weaker paper shredder it replaced and doesn't seem to have any trouble running as intended. "Teeth" and I probably won't feed more than 9 or 10 sheets at a time so I can keep this shredder running for (hopefully) 10 years or more. My only criticisms are: (A) I have to use both hands to roll it out from under my desk and back, (B) I wish it had an indicator light at the top to warn me when the retractable outlet is about to fill, and (C ) I wish the price was a little lower BUT I hope it's a product that lives up to the old adage "You get what you pay for"; That means I hope the build quality, durability and longevity of this chopper justifies the higher price tag. I'll try to remember to come back and update this review after using it for a longer period of time.
