Great for cichlids. Just make sure the fish isn't too big to get stuck.

I have several African cichlids from 4 to 7 inches. The two large sizes are great for this fish size. One of my 7 inch fish got stuck in the medium size and it took me forever to get it out. It tore it apart very well as the inside is very rough and jagged. So I only use the 2 largest sizes. Love them even though I bought 3 of these 8 sets for a 37 gallon aquarium. Lots of hiding spots. I use the smaller two stones in another tank with smaller fish.
