I love this thermometer! When I picked it up and turned it over, it read room temperature, which matched my room thermometer exactly. The device looks solid and the readings are accurate. I've used it to check the temperature of steaks and it reads the temperature shown on the large dial so quickly and easily. You can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Very handy that it's magnetic so I can attach it to the fridge when not in use. It has a backlight and a spare battery. Excellent purchase. highlighted.
