UPDATE: Now I have three, and in the summer I sleep on one, covered with a sheet. Works perfectly. Struggling with menopause can be summed up as "you have to be kidding me,โ new calorie restrictions, mood swings and/or current medications, and hot flashes, which if youโre "luckyโ are more than just the occasional hot flash, but sweating is all body 24 hours a day, 7 days a week keeping you up at night and ruining fresh makeup. I'm not allowed to swear when rating, but you can add your favorites right away. My current survival kit includes bamboo pajamas (bamboo wicks moisture and doesn't soak through the fabric) so you don't wake up freezing in wet clothes every half hour. (I'm super happy). I bought shorts because they are cheap and the thought of wearing pants in the summer makes me scream, but they are worth it. ) and didn't have high hopes. It worked! It's more drapey and a little tighter than a sheet. It fits like pajamas but has a waffle pattern to keep it from falling down. It was the mid 60's and I slept with the windows open and a ceiling fan. I woke up comfortably, dry and not cold like in fleece blankets. I woke up and had to use the radiator leg but there was no wet ceiling or wet spots. (Pillow issues have not been addressed yet, this is still an issue). I wear a fleece over it during the winter months but I LOVE this blanket. My last resort is to fall asleep with constant hot flashes and sweats all over my body when I relax (sorry guys I'm married and it's not fair that I'm painting such a sexy picture at 50). For this I use a cryopack wrapped in a kitchen towel. I put it behind my neck or under my lower back and it keeps me cool all the time until I fall asleep. Your body temperature will then naturally drop. Buy some which can be 8.5 x 14 and are individual cells instead of a solid block of ice. It's more flexible and doesn't feel like you're lying on a rock. The ceiling is worth it. I will buy more and look for bamboo pillowcases.
