A great set for a quick headlight restoration for the price!

Okay so not "professional" quality - but for $6 it's a great kit. It is enough to make 2 large headlights for the truck and 2 small fog lights. It is essentially a wet grinding wheel that contains a grinding paste that is dispensed along with the water. It takes a lot of effort to get this to work. Polish, dry, wipe, polish, dry, wipe and repeat. I probably spent about 20 minutes with each headlight, just going back and forth, wiping with a dry rag to see where the holes were, then buffing again. When I finished polishing I hesitated as it was still very hazy. Something is not in the instructions - but the POLISH REMAINS must be REMOVED! I wiped it down with a dry cloth, then water again, then alcohol, then glass cleaner. Then I rubbed it again with alcohol and applied "clear coat" and MAGIC! I have clean headlights again! I still see tiny pits where I haven't sanded/polished enough, but it's much better than it was and looks great overall. The whole process took about an hour. And a lot of elbow grease, but it works - at a great price! The composition is already on the disc, so just add water. Taping over areas is a good idea, but the reality is that this stuff drips - from both the sanding disc and the clear coat. Keep a clean, dry rag and wipe up any drips immediately while you continue washing. It's going to be worth it. Again, a great set if you don't mind a bit of work. See my residue removal steps before applying a clear coat. My friend tried it and just cleared it, it was still stained. Mine came out smooth and shiny. Clean this glass after polishing and you'll be able to see the spots you missed, too.
