I purchased this hole saw to bore a two inch hole in the bed of my truck for a 7 pin connector. This is the perfect tool for the job. It is very heavy duty, has Carbide teeth and comes with two drill bits. The two drill bits have springs attached to help remove the metal once it punches through. Come with an Allen Wrench to tighten down on the flat side of the drill bit once installed. The hole on the side is there to help assist with removing the steel from the bit using a screwdriver if needed, as well as an alignment window for the flat side of the drill bit for tightening.
