There really is no practical reason to buy this item. For me it was a matter of fit and finish. i love tundra Durable and well-equipped, it touches the plush without stepping out of line. The open seat bolt is really just one of those oddities for me. Why on a nice truck that costs more than any other car I've personally bought leave them open like a car that costs less than half the price of this truck. It just seems odd, but that's feedback for Toyota. So back to these. These are simple molded plastic parts. It's just covers, no clips or anything like that. They have double sided tape but that's not enough to hold them in place. There was a small roll of 3M double-sided tape in the box, so the setup was to cut pieces of tape, tape them to the seat mounts, and peel off the other side of the tape (and the tape on the lid). and glue them on. Hold them for a moment and then move on to the next. They haven't moved since so time will tell if the tape peels off or something, but so far they're holding in place well. Easy enough.
