This is normal. They look great but are not 100% secure. They come with double tape but it doesn't stick well. If you hit these or anything (I seem to go deaf when exiting opposite the door closest to the driver's side) they pop out and fall to the ground. I'll try super glue to keep it in place. A little bit frustrating.

As many reviewers have pointed out, I have no idea why they weren't factory installed, especially on the more expensive models. Sounds like false frugality. They work, are a little pricey, but since it's a unique application, I'll break it down a bit. I held them in place with the included double sided tape, but I wore them for about a month. They look really beautiful and give the finishing touch.

Falls off at the slightest touch, think I'll have to poke some small holes and stretch the black tie at the back. The tape is too small, not enough and not thick enough for a good adhesion, other than that they look very nice and do what they are supposed to do, I just can't hold them. And I'm not talking about kicking it, I'm talking about just brushing it lightly with your hand or foot while you're cleaning the mat or whatever.

It's just a small detail but it really enhances the look of my Tundra. I opted for a semi-permanent installation using clear silicone. I read some reviews about adhesion issues so I bought a small silicone tube that takes a bit of effort to remove if needed. They look good when worn. To attach them you will need to remove the factory installed defective tape and reapply the 3M tape that came with the covers. They don't fit very well and I'm afraid they'll jump out and fall out of the truck before I know they're gone. I don't have to fix their tape problems for them. There really is no practical reason to buy this item. For me it was a matter of fit and finish. i love tundra Durable and well-equipped, it touches the plush without stepping out of line. The open seat bolt is really just one of those oddities for me. Why on a nice truck that costs more than any other car I've personally bought leave them open like a car that costs less than half the price of this truck.
