UPDATE February 15, 2015 Be sure to check the screws on the bottom of the stools at least once a month. A few months after purchase, while sitting down, I heard something hitting the floor and realized that one of the screws had fallen out. I tried to put the screw back in, but there was nothing to put it in. My guess is that the nut was on the other side and after the bolt fell out it wasn't possible to put the bolt back on. So I'll be checking and tightening the screws regularly in the future. Because I use these bar stools daily, at my dining table, work on my laptop, sew and spend hours doing a variety of other projects. They're still very, very comfortable. . . .I still recommend them as always. Original review: The height is perfect for my dining table. It is very comfortable. The backrest provides excellent support for your lower back and the seat's curve keeps you in place. I would like the footrest to expand a little more. Also, vinyl and wood are very inexpensive materials (I really can't complain as they're only $125). But as long as they are cared for, I hope the latter for years to come. I would recommend it to anyone but if you have children I would look at other products.
