I installed the kit according to the instructions. This is the basic boat trailer wiring diagram. I checked the previously made connection to the car and found power. After I mounted the headlights on the trailer, they didn't work at all. Powering the headlights directly showed that some of the headlights were not working. I asked for a replacement kit but I am skeptical about the result. The best I can guess is that some of the bulbs are not working and there is a short in the wiring. This combination creates the perfect storm for disappointment. Check EACH lead and gauge with a multimeter before installing the kit.
