Review on 🔘 Pro-Ject Phono Box S2 - Black by Matt Chirila

I bought the Pro-Ject Phono Box S2 primarily based on Revain reviews and other online reviews. The unit I received was clearly not working as there was a pronounced increased noise floor right out of the box. At first I thought the settings might be wrong for my MM cartridge but confirmed they were correct. The noise it added to the signal rendered it completely unusable. I chose to buy the phono preamp direct from Schiit as they guaranteed it would be tested and very happy with the results. When I'm ready to upgrade, I'll probably consider another Schiit product.
