This Secchi disc is light but suitable for use in shallow water. The problem is the very thin line marked in feet. Most of us don't need more than a few yards of cord, and it would be far better to have a heavier gauge cord marked in tenths of a yard. Since the hole through which the leash is inserted is very small, you cannot attach a proper leash.
