Review on 2+ Year Olds Rock Out With Battat Lil' Rocker'S Guitar - Acoustic, Electric & Song Modes! by Alexander Chavis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Built like a tank and fun for 1 year olds too!

My 1 year old granddaughter loves an avocado guitar she has at home that plays music when she presses buttons. I ordered this so she would have a guitar to play with at our house. She loves it! She cannot read the songbook, of course, but she hits the keys, and dances and sings with the music. She loves pushing the buttons and keeps running back to the guitar to pull the strings or hit the whammy bar. It is built extremely rugged, with thick plastic and tight seams. All corners are smooth and child-safe. Her mother and father both play piano and other instruments, so I wouldn't be surprised if she starts learning the songbook while she is learning her ABC book.I gave it 4 stars because I would have preferred for the frets to change the pitch of the strings instead of playing a chord. This would better teach kids how real guitars work, give the toy more flexibility in what it can play, and maybe spark their creative talents.A good toy for the money, even if she does not learn to play the songs. A bonus if she learns them!

Pros
  • 8 x 2.6 x 16.5 inches
Cons
  • The toy may not work properly or be prone to malfunctions, leading to frustration for both children and parents
