Review on πŸ“± Cup Call Cup Holder Phone Mount for Car by BulbHead: The Ultimate Adjustable Phone Holder for Any Cup Holder - 360Β° Rotation, Tilting, and Left/Right Movement by Tom Goodlow

Revainrating 3 out of 5

He sees the eye and the tooth is numb.

Overall the idea is great and the design is solid (4 stars) but the execution is poor. Pros: 1) The base that expands/contracts to fit the cup holder has a great design. 2) The main body which is fully rotated left and right. 3) A phone stand that rotates 360 degrees vertically (well, set the click stops, but you get the idea) so the phone can be held horizontally, vertically, or anywhere. -Between.4) The stand itself holds the phone securely. The Bad: 1) The tilt/swivel hinge isn't strong enough to hold even a modest sized phone. I have an iPhone 11Pro that weighs only 8 ounces with a case. Even a simple light push on the phone or stand with the phone in it and the stand will fall back to the lowest tilt angle. 2) Where the stand attaches to the tilt mechanism, it's very wobbly and loose (it's securely attached but still wobbles). 3) Tilt and pan connection requires a larger adjustment angle. In fact, I could live with a swing stand and accessible angles. works for me in my car but the flimsy toggle hinge is probably a deal breaker that will force me to return it. It's very annoying to constantly readjust the tilt angle after almost every interaction with the phone, intentionally or unintentionally. However, the swing angle of the cradle was sold. Fix the hinge and I'll buy seven or eight for Christmas presents. I could actually live with a rocking stand and the angles available work for me in my car, but the flimsy rocking hinge is probably a deal breaker that will force me to return it.
