I picked this up for the garage. It's been really cold in there lately and I wanted to make sure that I had some kind of heat source in there to melt snow or to simply dry the place up a bit.The remote works great! There are buttons for 500W, 1000W, and 1500W. The cable is long enough to reach my outlet, which outlets are limited. Once plugged in, make sure the foam plugs are removed from the heat source and that's it. Heat is immediate. I have a small fan that I turned on beneath it which helped by blowing the hot air around.Installation was easy. It's really a case of hanging a couple of brackets and attaching the heater to them. Very easy and took maybe 15min.
