I ordered this despite concerns about the angled air tube routing. I was drawn to the hefty all-metal construction and price. Of course I've had issues with the slide getting stuck in my Dewalt saw (the kerf isn't machined at an angle and a number of tools that depend on the kerf have issues, but other than that it's a great saw). The instructions clearly state the importance of aligning the tiny protrusions on the screw head. It's hard to imagine that such small protrusions can make such a big difference, but they do. When lining up, the carriage gets caught in the rail. However, when you loosen the handle to move the tool, the screw head can rotate a little, and that's enough to stop the job. I coated the screw with a bead of glue and set it with the extensions at an exact 90 degree angle to the guide. Now it works perfectly. I'll even use it as a pen board for big details.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • There are defects
