sizes of the S-shaped hooks correspond to the description. They are thick and strong enough to handle most household items and kitchen utensils in ordinary families. The black ones are a bit larger than just the chrome ones, but it's good to have two sizes and two colors for different locations and tasks. I tried twisting and deforming them with my bare hands, but failed miserably and ended up injuring my hands. So don't try. I used them in my garden for my plants. The pots weigh 15-20 pounds each and they handle them with no problem. Before the hooks I used ropes to tie them and it was very difficult to get them up and down. These hooks make my life in the garden much easier, they look neat and durable. I hope they don't rust as well as advertised or I'll upgrade them for real durability later when they show signs of outdoor wear. They are great helpers in the garden.
