Please treat all reviews of this product with a grain of salt, Armen is offering a $5 Starbucks gift card per review. The chair is that it is solid, not flashy. It looks amazing basically like the picture which is great. If like me you order cream you will find that the color you receive is actually cream and not white as shown in some of the stock photos. I have attached photos for color reference in two different light sources. I was hoping so, so that was a big plus for me. If you're looking for a mid-century model on a budget, I don't know if you'll find anything more aesthetically pleasing for the $86 price point at the time of this review. They're also quite comfortable right out of the box, although it remains to be seen if this will hold up to any reasonably regular use. The downsides are obvious when you receive your chairs or read some other honest reviews. First, one of my parts arrived slightly damaged. One of the legs of the stool had a notch about 8 inches in the wood. Luckily it was on the inside of the leg and is kept under the counter so it's not visible at all. Armen does offer a phone number and email address for replacement parts, but I figured that small cosmetic damage like that wasn't worth the hassle. However, there is an option if reading reviews of damaged parts has made you skeptical. Assembling the stools requires a bit of trial and error. If you follow the directions carefully, you should be able to get most of the way up. However, if you want the chairs to be strong, you'll need to maneuver a bit. Once assembled, the end product is likely to be strong and sufficient for a person of average build. At 5ft 9in and 160lbs I can say the stools are well proportioned for me and support my weight. When you sit down, you will notice that even when everything is properly dressed, I give a little. Let's say if I approach or surpass the £200 mark I'd be wary as the build quality isn't the best. more representative appearance.
