Review on ⏰ GE 24-Hour Heavy Duty Indoor Plug-in Mechanical Timer: Convenient Daily On/Off Cycle for Lamps, Christmas Lights, and Holiday Decorations by Hector Nito

I understand that this is a mechanical timer that (of course) makes noise. But I agree with other reviewers, the noise is steadily increasing. I have this timer in the laundry room to charge various batteries (AA, AAA, power tools, etc.) after 11:00 p.m. during Georgia Power's "Super Off Peak". The timer only sounded when the laundry room door was open. It's gotten LOUDDER, LOUDDER, and LOUDDER in the last few months! Now I can hear the timer even when the laundry door is closed. The timer still works, but the increasing noise makes me think it would be wise to replace the device.
