Lutron Diva Magnetic Low-Voltage Brown Dimmer DVLV-600P-BR Review

I'm using this to control a Magnitude M200L12DC LED driver and about 150 watts of dimmable under-cabinet LEDs in my new kitchen. Not really pleased as there is a 60-cycle flicker at some lower brightness settings, and irratically a noticable flicker at some settings that seems to have no cause. Usually turning the lights on and off or changing the brightness will make this go away. It seems that some voltage stabilization and / or trimming would be a nice feature to have on this unit.

Not enough electrical noise filtering ability to be of use anywhere near LED lighting circuits, no mitigating of power surges from transformer-operated low-voltage lighting. Zero improvement, in fact it is worse over use of the standard Lutron dimmer. Lutron needs to add voltage spike filtering to either this product or more ability to their LED dimmers. If you have a house with both, expect issues, and be prepared to give up low-voltage transformer halogens if you add dimmable LED circuits…

The switch itself seems to be okay, but "Almond" is easily as light as Lutron's "Light Almond" (I'd ordered both). At almost $50 a pop, it's too expensive to keep guessing, even though my other electrical fixtures all are considered an almond color.The built-in backlighting light was an unexpected surprise, though.

I have just installed the new switch for my LED lighting. The install was easy and the switch works well at this time. It's only been two days so I won't give it a 5 star. Time will tell.

easy to install, cheaper than you'll find at big box stores, dimmer switch works perfectly. I have it hooked up to some LED under-cabinet rope lighting.

I've tried several dimmers and this is the winner for dimming all varieties of LED bulbs including the newer filament style. Highly recommended and a good value. This dimmer is installed in my 42 unit courtyard building operating 24/7 on a 28 LED bulbs without a hiccup.

This item is described as having a locator light, so you can find the switch in the dark. The light is behind the paddle switch and is supposed to illuminate the switch with a soft glow. However, this unit has a paddle switch that is totally opaque. No light shines through it. You can see a small amount of light in the thin spaces, left and right, between the paddle switch and the surrounding bezel (photo). My house has several rooms lit by MR-16s controlled by Lutron Maestro MALV-600 dimmers. As the old incandescent MR-16s have burned out, I have been replacing them with Soraa high-CRI LEDs. I paired this with an Evergreen Technologies ETD1260 - Strip Lighting Power Supply which requires a magnetic low-voltage dimmer such as this one. Works perfectly - dimming is very smooth through the whole range, with no flicker. Nice little bonus I didn't see mentioned is a subtle orange back-light for finding it in the dark. Very satisfied. Keep in mind this model uses wire leads instead of terminal posts, but it comes with wire nuts.

Excellent dual switch. Needed to reduce the number of gangs required to fit 3 switches and this fit the bill for switching and dimming 2 sets of LEDs. Set 1 are 7 6" recessed. Set are 3 pendants. The smooth on/off is a nice touch and makes for a nice transition. Dimmers offer decent range given the load in my configuration.

Dims my magnetic transformer for my LED's just as expected. I even have another LED with it's own driver tapped into the 120 volt and it works great with the pair of light sets hanging on the same switch.

I used this dimmer to control a single dedicated dimmable LED driver transformer on an under cabinet LED lighting project.This particular dimmer was recommended by the manufacturer of the LED driver. It worked very well. It runs cool and dims the LED strip down by 90% with (NO FLICKERING).

It may work well for incandescent lights. However, when used with my transformer powered LED lights which use less than about 75 watts, it causes very serious flickering except when set for full brightness. On the other hand, when used with my LED lights which use more than 100 watts, it works just fine.Do not use this dimmer for LED lights which require less than about 100 watts! Luton is aware of this limitation.

We remodeled our kitchen and have a quartz back splash which is predominately brown. Looked all over for this style dimmer switch and could not find. Loved being able to order it online. It came in three days and it is exactly what we wanted.

Advertised as a "used piece" and it had been previously installed but was in nearly new condition. Works fine, customer happy!
