Batteries are needed about every 2 days.
I bought this Christmas Village knowing it was battery powered and didn't have an AC/DC plug. The village is beautiful, the moving parts work great but I just wanted to warn you that even if you run this unit 4-6 hours a day you will need to put in 3 AA batteries every 2 days. Please note this before purchasing.
