My Djungarian hamster loves this house, he hides so I keep the lower level under his bedding so he can dig and everything else is up , and he loves to explore! Based on other reviews the balcony railing piece seems to be a hazard as several people have had their hamster limbs pinched and when assembling it I noticed its potential for this. So I removed the balcony railing and just left it and my hamster still loves it. For safety reasons, I strongly advise against installing a balcony railing! It's also a bit tricky to assemble but doable, instructions are not included but are in the photos of the actual product listing.
