I think this is a solid kit for the most part. My son bought a regular kit and the wiring was a bit short and I can see it being possible on a full size extended cab truck. I even told him I bought the heavy-duty kit because I figured I'd need a longer wiring harness. Pfft, not even close. It is long enough from the battery to the switch in the cabin. But the wiring to the crossbar needs to be at least twice as long, and since the wires are already disconnected you will now be extending 4 wires instead of 2. Take apart your truck. Luckily I measured it before I started and since I bought 2 sets I can get an extra 100ft of cord at the hardware store.
