This product works properly. Just wanted to let people know that if they buy this unit and they are NOT professionals associated with the Quadra Fire and unfamiliar with how it works and they don't have a manual (like me) then there is there is no user manual that came with the device. from the supplier. However, my particular circumstances allowed me to be privy to what I needed to do. This was my second spare and I was given directions with my first spare (which I kept safe but like most things couldn't find). So I remember having to take a screwdriver and change the setting to one of the three settings that come with this unit. My first replacement was set to '1' so I put it in there with this new one and I'm ready to go. The company ships fast, and for $5 and a change in shipping cost, it got to Colorado from the east coast in 4 days, which impressed me. As for the cooker this unit comes with, the 1200-I is a good unit, but there's nothing to stop the control unit from burning out when the electricity company that's powering you has intermittent power surges. I think that explains why the control unit fails on this stove much more than the stove itself has a weakness. I only wish the energy company would help me pay the high price for this box.
