This case is basically a mad otter. This will definitely protect my XR from toddler falls and throws. My only complaint, and one I could come back for, is that it's very difficult to open the mute button and charging slot. The plastic covering the buttons is thin and lies flat against the case, making it impossible to stick a fingernail in to pry it open and gain access to the port. If I can't get to the charging port without my car key, then I won't leave the case.
