I've only ridden the kite twice since I got it a few weeks ago. The wind was light the first time, but the kite did well. I live at 5430 feet so a light wind doesn't have much power. The wind was stronger the second time around and I was impressed with the power and ability to twist and turn. The kite is 1lb so it's not as responsive as some of the other kites I have, they are lighter but the same size. In good winds, this kite will lift a small child into the air, so be there and let them use killer kites. I bought this kite after going to the beach with my grandkids this summer and launching them on 1.9m2 string foil. They mastered 2 strings in about 10 minutes. They wanted a little more power and handling. This kite was the logical choice. I have had Flexifoils for at least 20 years and have always been impressed with the quality and performance. This kite is the perfect entry-level quad for small children. Most other quads have way too much power and are MUCH more expensive. I highly recommend.
