These are great tires but the tires supplied are 1 1/2 years old judging by the date code on the tyres. I paid a premium price for these tires and expected them to be no more than 6 months old. I called a major online tire retailer who told me the same size tire is 5 months old. I know that most people don't know anything about tire life and even storing it on the shelf shortens tire life. My car stays in storage 7 months a year and is used for driving pleasure when on the road so time worries me over miles. I've read that tires should be changed after 6 years and the tires I just bought are only 4 1/2 years old. I'm not the type to burn out, but maybe I should start now instead of scrapping the tires with a lot of good tread.
