My daughter LOVES the color! When we opened the box (which is very well packaged) it clearly contained two walkie-talkies as well as good instructions. I'm not one of those moms who likes to point out directions, much less need them. Lol We just removed the clip on the back and removed the battery cover. Requires 4 AAA batteries. (I would recommend getting E-Lithium batteries. My kid (3 year old) left them on for DAYS, played with them ALL day and we killed regular Costco batteries in 4 days). They are very easy to use. It's easy to turn on, change the volume and change the radio channel. My 3 year old already knows how to do everything from paging on another device to the awesome little flashlight that comes with the walkie talkie! I can safely say I didn't read the instructions lol As long as they are pretty solid she falls a lot and I haven't had a single problem. The back and clip did not detach after being dropped, and the device did not turn off after being dropped. All in all we love them! So far they have good range. (We live in a 3,300 sq ft house and whether it's indoors or outdoors, near or far, we haven't had any connectivity issues. I highly recommend them. PS I'm having a lot of fun using them with my little one too, lol
