First of all, yes, it's loud. all high speed fans. but damn, this thing moves air. I tried the Lasko high speed fan https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0073CQ9XA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1, this fan also moves a lot of air but along with the noise of the fan blades that shredding the air, making an annoying hum like the blades were vibrating. Especially at low speeds. This Kool-it fan is awesome and I plan on getting another one soon.
