I have already received a Powerblanket 5' x 10' electric blanket for my brother to use earlier. This one is almost the same as the other aside from the difference in size, so my rating is pretty much the same as for it. Both have worked well so far and there have been no problems. My brother has a small construction company that often does small concrete jobs. He mentioned to me earlier that the cold can cause the concrete to take longer to set. Luckily we live in the south so it is warm for most of the year but it can get quite cold in the dead of winter. When I saw this solution suggested by Powerblanket I thought I might give it a try. He used to use simpler insulated blankets that don't get as hot. The one he uses provides a 3ft by 10ft heated area and actually has a plug for heating a blanket. It heats up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and triples the curing speed of concrete. The size is limited so for larger orders it has to be moved to speed up the process, but so far this has caused problems. He can also use it to warm the ground or remove frost/ice before working on a construction site. Overall he is very satisfied that it has helped him reduce the curing time of the concrete. It cost a bit of money to acquire, but in the end it helped him save time and relieve his break-in headache.
