I have worn many hiking sandals and water shoes, I even bought the Keen brand and was not happy. These affordable Mary Jane style shoes are so comfortable, so comfortable and I can't say enough good things about them. I wear them on trips to the forest to look for mushrooms, I wear them to walk on any terrain not suitable for walking barefoot or in flip flops. I've worn them for swimming, hiking and just going to festivals. They are so comfortable and don't move on my feet that I feel like I'm barefoot because I don't have to use the muscles in my foot to hold the shoes like I do in flip flops. The lining on the sole is quite stiff, albeit thin. I've hiked wildfires in a variety of soils and terrains. I wear these boots on broken branches, sharp rocks and even mud. I actually prefer these to my $120 Keen hiking sandals!
