This type of protection protects the rear light particularly better than other styles. They fit nicely around the taillight but don't hit the taillight like other styles. Thus, with a slight curvature of the fender, there is space between the protective cover and the taillight to avoid damaging the taillight. I explain this from my own experience. Due to the fact that the mechanic skipped a step after changing the brakes and discs, the jeep rolled onto the back of a pickup truck. The rear light shield took most of the impact and buckled a bit. Nothing happened to the tail light. But the truck looked very bad. Replacing a broken taillight is more expensive than buying these guards. Besides, they look good too. Nice and meaty with texture.
