So the short review is that the shaving brush is incredibly soft, lathers great with shaving soap and is the nicest shaving brush I've ever owned. I recommend it. A more detailed review is that about 10-15 years ago I was gifted a nice wet shaving set from Italy that opened the world of wet shaving to me. The supplied brush was made of high-quality badger fur. I lived with this set for a full ten years until it fell apart due to aging glue. I replaced the brush with a cheap brush made of pure badger fur. It was terrible. Not soft and more importantly it lathered poorly with shaving soap. So fast forward and I see this brush. I was just hoping for something close to the premium Italian shaving set I once had. This brush actually goes far beyond the capabilities of this set. I am 100% sold. The base is heavy, I always use the base that came with a cheap brush and the Vikings Blade brush wobbles a bit in it. Keep in mind that I'm mixing and matching parts here, so I guess that's to be expected. Due to the heavy base, I often find it easier to hang my brush upside down (brush up). But the brushing experience is fantastic. If you like wet shaving, you'll love it.
