This is the second set of these speakers that I have purchased. The first set in 2013 (lasted 5 years) and now in 2020 (lasted 7 years). Both sets of speakers rusted around the magnet that was on the cone and there was also corrosion on the electronic components soldered to the cone. The sound quality is ok - it starts to crack when the volume is turned up - note that the speakers are rated for a higher output than my radio. But my biggest disappointment is the connector plug on the speaker — on the 2013 model, both plugs fit into a 1/4-inch port; On the 2020 model, one terminal is 1/4" (negative) and the positive terminal is 0.11" (2.8mm). I had to cut off the old plug and buy/install a smaller plug. Between the rust on the cone and the 2 different sized plugs confirms how cheap Chinese quality control is.
