My vacuum cleaner hasn't worked for almost a few years and I took it apart and cleaned it and it started working again in a short amount of time. then stop again. The brush also didn't rotate every time we used the vacuum. I was looking for a new vacuum here, scrolled down and saw the clutch. I'm deciding what the hell I'm going to try because my husband really didn't want me to buy another $500 vacuum. Although we have had this vacuum for over 8 years he just couldn't understand why I would want to buy another one. I love my Dyson vacuum and that was the only issue we had. We changed the clutch and it works like a new vacuum cleaner 🎉🎉 the photo I have shown is a photo of my old clutch and you can see how the belt is tensioned. One should be tall and the other small and narrow. It saved me over $500 and I'm so glad I scrolled down and saw that. Oh, and please, the belt tool, it really helped a lot! I just saw a youtube video showing how to change the clutch and change the whole thing. Some videos show how to change the interior or something like that, but changing the whole thing will work.
