Purchased for windows at the front of my house that receive indirect afternoon sun. They are very dependent on direct sunlight to keep the bulb bright enough. It only lasts a couple of hours, which doesn't really matter much, but it kind of misses the point in the winter when the days are longer. I'll try them on the side that gets direct morning sun and see if that helps, but the whole goal was to get something I don't have to plug in or switch on and off every day. I would return them if I hadn't already missed the deadline for them.
