Do you really want to know how cold it is -40°? I took this outside on a cold winter day, the display went blank before it could show me -40 on the LCD. For this reason I am deducting a star. A similar device I own has an auto power off feature that is activated by pressing any button, this has an auto power off feature but you have to press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn it on. the back. I can think of pros and cons for both, so I'm keeping both.
