I took this on a long walk in Patagonia. While the mosquitoes weren't that bad, the flies could be. It's inexpensive, lightweight, very easy to pack in a backpack and does the job perfectly. I wore this over my hat when I was in places where there were flies, especially if it was a place where I wanted to rest. As a result, annoying flies did not bother my face and I could take a nap in peace. It's large enough to fit a 4-inch brimmed hat, long enough for the mesh to reach the collar and "buns," and full enough not to touch the face. It has taken a permanent place in my daily backpack.
