Two - R + L at this price makes this a no fuss solution. The originals are 8 times more expensive. Both of my door locks didn't work. Removed both door panels and found that an original actuator had failed and the other side just needed a little communication to get it working again (the button itself). So now I have a reserve for the future. They're easy to install - they don't actually look like Ford parts, but they fit snugly into two grommet slots, and quite simply, they're there. Good salesman.
