Review on πŸ“ Lufkin Crescent Wood Rule 966N by John Vann

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great old school tool

This is one of the best folding rule models available (along with the engineer model 1066D). Like other reviewers on similar questions, I really don't see why anyone would want an external reading rule. Convenience and ease of internal reading is much faster, more efficient and more accurate. This has two inch scales, both inside and just right or left. it's about as handy and useful as you can get in any of these. The endings are marked as such too - not in reference to the scale it's printed in, but in reference to which end is "open" to read in that direction (a bit confusing at first). Another advantage of the internal reading format is that the most used areas of the ruler are protected from wear and tear and not used to the maximum as with external reading. A very nice, practical and useful old school measuring tool with a well thought out format.
