I bought this to expand the external SSD on my PS4 to make it easier to rest. When I used this in combination with an SSD, the PS4 kept throwing corruption errors with the cable connected. When I unplug the cable the problems go away. Avoid this product if you're trying to do something like this. Update: Heat from the PS4 fan has been identified as the main cause causing issues with this cable. So if you are going to use a cable in these circumstances, be aware.
