I bought these because I started playing volleyball at the local gym after about 6 years without a game and felt like I was going to hurt myself in sneakers without ankle wraps and wanted shoes with rubber rubber anyway. I bought these and a pair of active ankle wraps and couldn't be happier. The shoes are very comfortable and hold up well on the court even when it gets wet from sweaty people. If I had one complaint, I wish they had a removable insole so you can lower the bottom of the ankle brace, but that's pretty much not an issue.
