Review on πŸ’¦ VIP50 Wayne Thermoplastic Portable Electric Water Removal Pump for Efficient Water Extraction by Todd Mohr

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quiet pump does a good job and is worth the money

Sometimes when I plug this pump into an extension cord and turn it on I can't immediately tell if it's running when it turns on so quietly. This thing empties my 100 gallon aquarium in no time. I bought a mesh bag to put on so it doesn't suck up plant leaves (or my fish, haha). You can find them here at Revain for around $11. The only criticism is that the cable is too short. I would prefer a 30 foot cord so I don't have to lift the cord out of the water when hoovering a large flood in the basement or a huge puddle of standing water in the yard. Just FYI for newbies - you don't want to be standing on the water you're pumping plugging this in! Get a long extension cord, install the pump and plug it into the extension cord where you want it to draw water, then plug it into an outlet in a dry place away from water.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Almost never
