I have replaced several wire ends over the years and this is one of the best. Connecting and twisting was easy. The wiring for my cable is black wire with brass screw, white with silver, blue (you can have green) with green screw. Use a professional tester when it's done and all is well. While this, like most home power strips, is designed for humid environments, the connection between this and whatever you're plugging into is hardly ever fully waterproof, and the case doesn't feel fully waterproof where the old cord enters this unit. I was tempted to fill the cable entry area with silicone when screwing the case back on, but I still had a small gap between that and the connector that was inside. Best of all - don't let it sit in a puddle of water and use GFCI sockets. Tip: Practice plugging in the 3-pin cable a few times to loosen it up a bit (it was really difficult to get the connector in at first).
