I gave this to my 3 year old daughter in her Easter basket. It is also an excellent filler for stockings. It also helps kids practice fine motor and pencil skills. I bet she's colored this entire book 50 times since she got it last month. She is still so excited when she opens the book and sees that the pages have gone completely white again. The water evaporates completely and leaves no stains between the pages, causing them to stick together. The sides are dense, even wet. Our daughter can draw all by herself, open the pen compartment, put the pen back in and close it securely every time. She sits and paints for 30 minutes or more at a time. I'll probably buy her another version in her stocking for Christmas as she loves it so much. I didn't know about this when our other kids were younger but when my 1 year old son is a bit older I'll buy him one too. They are so inexpensive and worth every penny as they are reusable. They're perfect for keeping in the car or in a bag for the kids to use at the restaurant while they wait for their food. I can't recommend them enough! Ours still looks the same as when we started.
