It looks like it has been used before but is easy to put on.
The product itself seems good. It had good adhesion, although we used clamps on the corners to make sure it stayed down. it seems to add friction quite well. The biggest problem I had was that the package we received was used and returned earlier. The package was already opened and there was a tear somewhere in the middle of the roll. We managed to work around it, but it was annoying.
