Review on DB Electrical ADR0146 Alternator Saturn by Reginald Pitt

I'm confused this hasn't been reviewed, I swear I've posted a review on this before. When I ordered this publicly it was only one star and I'm usually very suspicious of Chinese parts - but the company (DB Electrical) also received a replacement starter which worked perfectly so I decided to take a chance. It arrived quickly, worked great once I installed it, and didn't even flinch or give me a weird look or cause me to doubt it would continue to work. :^) So I hope it stays that way. I don't mind posting a positive review in hopes that if I ever have a problem (and I'll post here if I ever have a problem with it), the company will back it up, but so far it seems so , as if they hadn't cut corners. The generator included a test sheet (which I hope is genuine / for my real generator!) suggesting that it was quality checked prior to shipment. FYI if you're ordering this you might want to test the alternator stand once it arrives - places like ORielly's usually do this for free as it keeps you from installing something that (if something isn't kosher) doesn't work and then do you have to return it or pay for a new installation. I didn't and it was fine, but I realized I could do it after finding out these tests are free but can only be done with the viola out of the car. This would have prevented the first one star review where someone said the part they installed didn't work after paying for the fitment. Probably the second / noise would have been obvious on a test machine, as would the voltage regulator instability. some basic mechanical skills - it's not that hard. If you have a saturn go to saturnfans.com and you can find help there, there is a video on youtube by a guy named richpin. The only annoying part is the return of the serpentine strap, where a second person can make it a lot easier, or at least a cheat bar. ------ EDIT Installed on April 30, 2015 and still running on January 12. 2017 is absolutely no problem. Totally happy with it.
