Let there be modern light!

The 100 year old house I bought 9 years ago constantly relied on outdated 60 year old lighting to bring brightness inside. The old pipes, riddled with rust and cobwebs, were crying out to be taken off the job. As a humble but discerning homeowner, I paid attention to this particular device. I knew it was a bit bulky for my tiny bathroom, but after reading about cages not needing lights I thought it might be worth a try. After all, almost anything would be an improvement over a metal mount that's so worn that even an occasional cleaning would pit rust in its base. The day came when I finally saw the new device in person. I ordered the black version and it turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for - pure black. The fixture itself felt solid and looked like it would actually fit in my small bathroom once I got out of the cages. at home on the wall. I didn't hear any complaints from the bathroom while my friend was doing the installation and I was really surprised how quickly I suddenly saw light coming out of the door. I was even happier when I walked into the tiny space and found a homely light fixture mounted above my updated, modern vanity. My friend also seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, explaining that he would no longer be afraid to use what appeared to be a spooky, possibly haunted, bathroom.
